Cheder Library

For many years we were building a book collection, that now has become a Cheder Library. It consists of few hundred of books in Polish, English, German and Hebrew. All of them – whether documentary or feature – discuss various aspects of Jewish life and history. They are available for free and could be read on the spot in the Cheder Cafe.
The books cannot be taken ouitside – but they are best read over a cup of Israeli mint tea and some Mediterranean snacks. Our volunteers are still working on an on-line catalogue of books and it shall be available soon right here on our website.

We are still collecting more books to make our library even more complete and interesting. You can also help in creating this unique collection by donating the books. You can bring them directly to the Cheder Cafe along with your contact information so we could confirm the receipt of books with you and discuss with you the form of acknowledgement.

Cheder Library is the only free Jewish reference library available for general public in Kazimierez and Krakow. Thanks to the Cheder Library many people could anytime explore Judaism, Jewish culture, life and history.
