Jewish ghetto in Krakow, established in 1941, was liquidated on March 13th and 14th, 1943. Six thousands Jews were evacuated to the nearby KL Płaszów, two thousands were sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau, approximately one thousand Jews were killed at ghetto’s Umschlagplatz, today’s Ghetto Heroes Square.
