Rykarda Parasol describes her dark sound as "Rock Noir.” Possessing a unique deep gender-bending voice, Parasol's stories are narratives derived from her personal life. Raised by her Swedish mother and Israeli father, a Holocaust survivor, Parasol was no stranger to tales of darkness. Often compared to literary notables, yet musically, she draws on American rock, soul and southern influences as well as Northern European styles.
